NOTE: This post continues my description of day two of filming for our new film, Teddy’s Party.
Between the cast and crew, there were over twenty people involved in the party scenes. I arrived early to begin putting up the party decorations, including triangle streamers, and foil curtains. Our director of photography, Jeremy Garcia, brought some string lights that he had used in a previous short film, to light the scenes. We also used an LED light in a china ball to tastefully light the actors.

The first scene we filmed on Sunday involved Teddy (played by Brandon Fields) and Bryn (played by Hannah Lori). During this scene, the partygoers arrive to Teddy’s house. Working with so many extras was a lot of fun and a new experience for me. At one point, we asked everyone to dance in the living room. Although we were filming, it was honestly beginning to feel like a real party. Brandon (who plays Teddy) even broke out some Micheal Jackson moves, which may or may not find their way into the film (they will).

While filming the dance scene, Susan (who plays Bryn’s mother, Ellie) and her husband, Brian, brought everyone pizza and chicken salad. Everyone gathered around the television in the kitchen to watch the Superbowl halftime show. Although we had a lot more left to film, I was glad that everyone was genuinely having a good time.
Stay tuned for more about Day Two…
